Psalm chapters 22, 23, and 24 all are written by King David. And all have our Lord Jesus – David’s royal descendant as the main theme.
Psalm 22 is about Jesus’ role as our suffering Savior.
Psalm 23 tells us about Jesus’ role as our compassionate Shepherd.
Psalm 24 tells us about Jesus’ role as our Glorious King!
The Holy Spirit guided David to write these words. Psalm 24 is full of great words to consider on Palm Sunday to commemorate our Lord’s entry into the city of Jerusalem and to be led to die for us on the cross.
Three themes in this psalm. The first part is the strongest statement that puts emphasis on the fact that God owns everything – every tangible and intangible thing. Also, stresses how God first loved us! The second part of the psalm is David’s praise, recalling the creating of all things. God planned, created, and well-designed. The earth is His masterpiece! The third part talks about the fact that no one can reach the level of the Lord. God is the owner of the world. God is so powerful and more powerful than any other being. We are assured that there is a God who is guiding us in this world that He own.
