Recently as we, The Attic (A Donation Ministry) at The Blue Point Bible Church, hosted our 2nd Annual “Under The Tree” event for Christmas giving. We not only hosted 3 nights of a free thrift shop, we also ‘adopted’ 8 families for the Christmas holiday (supplying children with gift items for the holiday). Thank you to the kindness and care of those who donated and served with time we were able to meet the needs of each family, doing drop offs late into the evening of Christmas Eve.
A sincere thank you to those who labor in the ministry of The Attic, those who have donated in times past, as well thank you’s to Suffolk County Legislator Dominick Thorne, BPBC Deacon Brian & Sandy Johnston, Wayne & Terri Rivera, “Mara” Young, Elizabeth Lizzary, Megan Scotti, Erika McCarthy, among many others.
This effort truly highlighted the power of community coming together and the love that can be shown to others by others whom they don’t even know. Glory to God.
