Blessings in Christ,

I trust that each of you had an enjoyable week, taking ample opportunity we have each day to praise God and petition Him for His ever-increasing work in your life. I have been contemplating and praying through the prayer of Jabez that is recorded in 1 Chronicles 4:9-10, “Jabez was more honorable than his brothers, and his mother named him Jabez, saying, “Because I gave birth to him in pain.” Now Jabez called on the God of Israel, saying, “Oh that You would greatly bless me and extend my border, and that Your hand might be with me, and that You would keep me from harm so that it would not hurt me!” And God brought about what he requested.”. May each of us have God’s blessing, increase, provision, and protection.

I have a few resources and announcements to share. I will follow with our weekly corporate praises and prayers.

Tomorrow, 6/19, we will have Saturday morning Bible study at 9am.

Also, tomorrow night at 7:45, Pastor Mike will share about “Set-Apart Discipleship” and the XD Movement and we will enjoy some Juneteenth cultural foods. Consider going with us for this time of learning and celebration. There is an attached graphic for this event.

This coming Sunday, 6/20, is Father’s Day. We will not have our Adult Sunday school, however we will have our Worship Service at 10:30am and will have small gifts and a raffle for the fathers gathered with us.

At the following link, you can watch and/or review this week’s live study session through chapter 2 of Wicked, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=56pfoW5rFE0

We did not have Wednesday Night Bible Study, however Pastor Mike put together a video review of the past volume, Church History, and the 5 sessions we studied through, which you can watch at the following link, https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ZmJu2cwngj0&t=807s

This coming Wednesday, 6/23, we will have a time of review of all that we studied in the last session, and starting in July, we will move into a new volume of Ray Vanderlaan studies.

Also, in July, we will begin a new sermon series called, “Fullness of the Times”, wherein we will study through the organic development of the New Testament (continuing with our past 2 1/2 year theme of Thinking Through The Scriptures). Consider joining with us for the series launch and a small bbq on Sunday, July 4th. Please see and share the attached graphic.

I look forward to studying, fellowshipping, and worshipping with each of you this weekend as opportunity affords us. Most especially, I look forward to celebrating and speaking about Father’s Day this coming Sunday with those of you who will gather with us.

To God be the glory,

Pastor Michael Miano
