Blessings in Christ,
I hope each of you had a blessed week with ample opportunity to see God’s sovereignty at work, especially as it pertains to His choosing and changing you, empowering you, and calling you to His work.
I have a few announcements to share. Also, below you will find this week’s corporate praises and prayers.
Thank you to those of you who stayed after our Worship Service this past Sunday for the committee discussions. As we enter into September may we all be excited and appreciative to enter into a new season. We look to begin gathering in the building (interchangeably with being outside), as well as more outreach efforts, as we move into the month of September.
Saturday, Aug., 29th we will have our Saturday morning Bible study at 9am. We are continuing to study through The Final Decade Before The End. We had agreed to read through and study pages 14-22.
On Sunday, Aug., 30th, we will gather for OUTSIDE WORSHIP at 10:30am and we are asking that you consider wearing purple to our worship service as as we will be taking note of International Overdose Awareness Day (which is on Monday). Our property will be decorated purple, we will have some information about overdose awareness, as well as some shared thoughts. Also, purple flowers and candles will be given to those who gather and pray with us. We will be canceling our evening Common Prayer , however there will be a local event (right at the intersection of Montauk. Hwy and Nicolls Rd. in Blue Point at 7pm. We will hear from some local leaders regarding the devastation of overdose and will prayer together. Please consider attending. Most of the awareness events have gone completely online due to COVID-19, however you can find more information at the following link, https://www.overdoseday.com/usa/us-ny/
I look forward to gathering, studying, and worshipping with most, if not all of you, this weekend.
To God be the glory,
Pastor Michael Miano
