Blessings in and through Christ our Lord,

I hope each of you had a week of gratefulness regarding our identity in Christ. He truly has given everything to us pertaining to life and Godliness (cf. 2 Peter 1:3). I regularly praise God that we have the opportunity to be responsive for the privilege of answered prayer, and it seems that God does indeed bless us mightily in that regard.

I have a few resources and announcements to share.

This week I not only put together a post-debate review (regarding my recent debate on the resurrection of the dead with Chris Date), but I also compiled a few other resources (including last week’s sermon). You can find that blog at the following link, https://powerofpreterism.wordpress.com/2020/08/19/date-vs-miano-post-debate-resources/

Most of you hopefully know I have been doing an hour long video each week with Caleb Graham called Preterist Power Hour (Thursdays at 6:30pm eastern). While the last few weeks have not been uploaded to YouTube as of yet, I did want to encourage you to visit his YouTube page and be blessed by his resources if and when you get a change. Simply click on the following link to be brought to all the edifying videos he has put out, https://www.youtube.com/channel/UC0S6VF4jgWRgIp8NRKyLwrA/videos

This coming Saturday, August 22nd, we will begin a new book study/ Bible study going through Ed Steven’s book, The Final Decade Before The End. Our study will begin at 9am and end at 11am. You are encouraged to bring along your copy (if you have one), otherwise we have a few copies available for purchase and borrowing (see attached graphic).

Also, we finally finished our reading and studying through the book, Beyond Creation Science, in our Wednesday Night Praise, Prayer, and Bible Study. We are currently in contemplation of a few options for the study – 90 days through the Bible, Ray Vanderlaan resources, and a few other options leading to contextual understanding of the Scriptures are being being considered. We would hope some who have not joined us in the past, might find whatever we study of interest.

The forecast for this coming Sunday is “iffy” at best, so please keep up with the updates. We will make a final decision regarding our gathering for outside worship this Sunday, 8/23, by 8pm tomorrow, 8/22. I will send out texts and emails as necessary, and post on our social media.

If we do gather for Outside Worship at 10:30, I am asking all who serve, or are interested in serving, as a part of one of our committees (Outreach/Saturation, Sunshine, Leadership, Worship,) to stay after service for about 45 minutes. We will talk about details regarding all the committees.

I look forward to a renewed focus in our Saturday Bible study and maybe some new faces, as well as hope to meet and worship together on Sunday.

By His ever-renewing mercy and grace,

Pastor Michael Miano
