Blessings in His mighty name,
I had originally planned to do a video presentation for our BPBC Saturation Committee regarding the ministry opportunity we have through www.blesseveryhome.com. However, I believe this email will be sufficient to instruct and to encourage each of you to visit the website and sign up. This will enable us to become active in saturating our communities with prayer and the Gospel while we have been encouraged to maintain social-distancing.
This past National Day of Prayer I was convicted that we must be sure our prayers are not merely platitudes, or nice thoughts, but rather that they keep us engaged to our mission of bringing healing to the nations (cf. Revelation 22:2). This ministry, Bless Every Home, allows for us to not only pray for our neighbors, but to keep track of our prayers, think of opportunities to care for them and open up opportunities to share the Gospel with them and bring forth disciples for our Lord Jesus Christ. Visit the website, navigate the site, watch the videos, and become familiar with your personal “dashboard”.
As I become familiar with the ministry and the website myself, I will regularly share thoughts and insights with each of you. I look forward to our involvement and engagement in these evangelism and outreach activities. Please call (631) 363-6111 or email (PastorMikeMiano@yahoo.com) me with any questions and/or comments.
Also, to provide a sort of update regarding our other areas of outreach I would say that we have been consistently and actively praying for medical workers, care-givers, and essential workers through this pandemic. Deacon Ed Silsbe had mentioned his willingness to make some yard signs to thank those who have worked through this distressing time – more to be provided on that soon. We were able to provide over $300 in groceries to Angels of Long Island thanks to the donations many of you provided (pictures were provided in a previous BPBC weekly update. And lastly, this Mother’s Day, the “mother members” of BPBC received a small gift and card from the church.
May we continue to couple our words and our deeds.
With love and hope,
Pastor Michael Miano
