Blessings in Christ,

Prayerfully each of you had a blessed week. The Fall season has surely set in, a bit chilly, however I hope you have been able to see the beauty in the change of season. I’d also like to thank those of you who participated in grading exercise we did this past Sunday. I surely appreciate the good grades and kind thoughts expressed. We have a busy next couple days, so I’ll share some details before I get into the corporate praises and prayers for this week.

Our 10/27 Saturday Morning Bible Study is canceled due to our rescheduled cleanup.

Our Annual Fall Cleanup has been rescheduled from 2 weeks ago, to this Saturday, 10/27 (8am-1pm). However, there have been reports of serious winds, rain, and storms therefore we urge you to keep your eyes on the skies. If the weather is off, please stay home, some of us will get some stuff done around the property during the week, however will have to look to next year’s Annual Fall Cleanup as our collective opportunity.

Following our Worship Service on Sunday, 10/28, we will have our Outreach Committee meeting. I will be sharing some things we have going on and some future opportunities. Also, will be looking to hear ideas and review from others on the committee.

This week to come we have 2 exciting events happening at The Blue Point Bible Church.

Lastly, I wrote a blog today sharing come of my convictions regarding entering into healthy Bible reading. You can read the blog at the following link, https://mianogonewild.wordpress.com/2018/10/25/discerning-cultural-parameters-nuances-in-scripture/

I’ll end with the following quote from Missiologist Alan Hirsch which reminds us of the value of the local and global Body of Christ, and the privilege we share to gather as a local part of what God has done and is doing;

“The Church is not a mere historical effect of Christ; She is His “fullness” and His “Body”. Therefore to encounter Christ the Head, one will need to also encounter the Body of Christ”.

By His Grace,

Pastor Michael Miano
